Technical Sales Representative; Sales Engineer – Outside Sales

Territory Location: Northern New Jersey, Staten Island, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island

About the Position:

We’re looking for an exceptional sales professional with at least 3 years of successful outside Technical Sales experience. The ideal candidate has experience in the Biotechnology Manufacturing or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing. Are you a hunter? Someone who meets and exceeds their sales goals every time? Job Responsibilities:

You’ll have a defined territory and be selling primarily to manufacturers in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Life Sciences and Specialty Chemical Industries (manufacturers who produce high-purity and sterile liquid products). You’ll be home most nights, with hardly any overnight travel. Products and technologies to be sold include: Components for Bioreactors, Sensors, Single-use products, Gaskets, Steam Traps, Valves, etc.

Ideal Candidate:

This is a challenging, TECHNICAL SALES position. We believe the ideal candidate should have an Engineering or Life Science Degree. We’re looking to hire driven and passionate sales professional, however, if you have experience selling technical products to these industries (or actual manufacturing of “high purity liquid biopharmaceutical/chemical products”) we should talk as well.

To obtain a high level of sales success, you will need to be technical, have a solid mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn about our products as well as the applications they are used in.

We are looking for candidates who are coachable – we are willing to train you in our products, the industries we serve and most importantly, our winning sales process.

In addition:

  • You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, that allow you to clearly explain value propositions and build credibility.
  • You must be competitive and committed to crushing your sales quota each month, quarter and year.
  • You must be diligent about tracking your progress in our user friendly CRM/SFA tool which will help you sell more.
  • You must be ready to perform the activities required to be successful, learning our products, qualifying prospects, finding opportunities, getting high quality appointments, and closing business.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products required.
