Electrical Position Indicators and Combi Switchboxes

Electrical Position Indicators can be used to reliably detect the position of a pneumatically operated actuator.  The electronic microprocessor provides evaluation of the actuator position facilitating commissioning and support during the operation.  The position is displayed via high-visibility LEDs and fed back via electrical signals.

The Combi Switchbox goes a step further by recording the end position of the process valve and transmitting it to the plant control system.  The integrated pilot valve also makes it possible to actuate the valve with the Combi Switchbox.  In plants with strict safety or quality requirements, the Combi Switchbox allows reliable monitoring of installed valves.

Conventional Electrical Position Indicator

The GEMU Type 1230 electrical position indicator is suitable for linear valves with actuator strokes up to 20 mm (actuating travel). It has a corrosion resistant housing and one or two micro switches. Switching rod and actuating spindle have a positive connection without axial play. The electrical connection is via cable gland.

  • Both microswitches can be continuously and precisely adjusted, independently of each other, via threaded spindles

Programmable Electrical Position Indicator

The GEMU Type 1235 is a microprocessor controlled programmable intelligent position indicator with an integral electronic travel sensor system (stroke). Optical position indication is made by LED and electrical position indication by relay with galvanically separated switch outputs. The housing cover is made of corrosion resistant plastic and the base is PVDF with sealing to IP 67.

  • For linear actuators with max 75mm stroke
  • Can be used for Normally open, Normally closed, and Double acting valves

Combi Switchbox with Integrated 3/2 Pilot Valve

The GEMU Type 4242 combi switchbox is suitable for mounting to pneumatically operated linear actuators. Secure connection to valve spindle means reliable feedback signal. Integrated pilot valves enable direct activation of the process valve connected to them. Intelligent microprocessor controlled functions make commissioning and support during operation easier. The current position of the valve is displayed via high visibility LEDs and fed back via electrical signals. The GEMU 4242 has been specially designed for valves with a stroke of 2 to 75 mm.
